Our Traineeship learners gain real work experience and develop the skills to become work-ready, enabling their progression to an Apprenticeship or employment
A Traineeship programme includes:
Work placement:
You will spend at least a 100 hours working in a high quality work placement in an industry that matches your area of interest and ambitions, making sure you are ready for the next steps in your career. You don't need to find the work placement; if you have one in mind we can help you get started. If not we have a bank of employers ready to take on a trainee.
Qualifications:
During your programme, you will complete Functional Skills Maths and/or English if required. This will depend on your previous qualifications including GCSEs.
Work preparation training:
You will also be provided with work preparation training which will help you get the most from the work experience placement. This will include looking at job search techniques, CV writing, and interview skills.
Learner support fund:
Avant Skills Academy has access to limited learner support funding. Learner support funding is intended to support the most vulnerable and disadvantaged learners who may have a financial barrier to participating in the learning programme. This form should be used when requesting any type of learner support funding. An assessment will be carried out to identify the need and the support required.
