AI & Automation Practitioner Apprenticeship (Level 4)

Develop the people who can transform the way your business works.

Reduce repetitive tasks. Improve workflows. Build practical AI and automation expertise within your existing workforce.

How much time could your organisation save if everyday processes were more efficient?

From duplicated data entry and manual reporting to disconnected systems and repetitive administrative tasks, many businesses can to work smarter.

The Level 4 Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation Practitioner Apprenticeship develops employees who can identify those opportunities and help design and implement practical improvements.

Rather than simply learning about AI, apprentices develop the knowledge and skills to apply it to real business challenges.

What will employees learn?

Throughout the apprenticeship, employees develop practical skills in:

  • Process improvement – Analyse existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • AI and automation tools – Evaluate suitable technologies and configure solutions using low-code or no-code approaches.
  • Workflow design – Develop, integrate and test digital processes that support business needs.
  • AI-assisted working – Use AI tools and effective prompting techniques to support workplace productivity.
  • Responsible AI – Understand data protection, security, ethics and appropriate human oversight.
  • Implementation and adoption – Support colleagues to understand and adopt new ways of working.
  • Measuring improvements – Evaluate solutions and report on productivity, efficiency and business value.

Who is the apprenticeship suitable for?

The programme is designed for people working in roles where they can identify, support and implement improvements using AI and automation.

This could include employees in business administration, operations, digital support, customer services, process improvement or other functions that rely on digital workflows.

The apprenticeship is particularly suitable for employees who understand their organisation’s existing processes and have opportunities to apply new knowledge in the workplace.

Why develop an existing employee?

Your employees already understand your customers, processes and operational challenges.

Developing the right person through an apprenticeship can help you strengthen that existing organisational knowledge with new technical and problem-solving skills.

It’s an opportunity to build lasting internal capability, rather than relying entirely on external expertise.
