Apprenticeships - fill the skills gap

Invest in the development of your people and the future of your business with an Apprenticeship

Apprenticeships for Grimsby and Hull in Assessor/Coach, Business Administration, Customer Service, Digital Support, Hairdressing, Learning Mentor and Management and Leadership. Apply now!

Apprenticeships are now available for anybody from age 16. Whether you want to recruit a new employee or train your existing staff, by investing in an apprenticeship programme you will be reducing the skills gap, upskilling your existing staff, and bringing new ideas to your organisation.

Anyone in your organisation can start an apprenticeship and it doesn’t matter what their previous qualifications are, as long as you can demonstrate the employee will be learning additional skills and knowledge.

Our apprenticeship programmes combine work and study by mixing on-the-job training at work and off-the-job learning with us, all supported by a dedicated Programme Tutor Assessor (PTA).

Your new or current employees will be doing their job while studying for a formal qualification. By the end of their apprenticeship, they will have gained the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to enhance your business from within.

The size of your company payroll will determine how the apprenticeship programme is funded. The good news is we can sort this out and do the hard work for you! If you would like to know more about the funding routes, please see the information below.

Small and Medium Employers - Non-Levy

If you are an employer with an annual wage bill of less than £3m, you do not pay the Apprenticeship Levy.

If you have less than 50 employees and where the apprentice is aged 16 – 18, the government will fund 100% of the apprentice and you are eligible for a £1000 incentive payment.

If your new recruit or existing staff member is aged 19+, the government will fund 95% of the apprenticeship programme with a 5% investment required by you. Don't worry, depending on the apprenticeship programme the investment required by you could be as little as £100 and you can even pay it quarterly!

Large Employers - Levy

The Apprenticeship Levy was launched in April 2017 to encourage large employers to use apprenticeship programmes, either for new staff or to upskill an existing employee, to help reduce the skills gap within their workforce. The levy applies to all businesses with an annual wage bill of more than £3m.

We will work closely with you to ensure your apprenticeship levy is being utilised effectively and is returning the best possible value. We recognise each employers’ individual requirements and we develop tailored Apprenticeship solutions that drive the maximum benefits for your organisation
